The 4 solar panels capture the suns rays and then the panels turn the rays into electricity that powers the 2000mah Lithium Ion built in battery. The battery then powers the 2 built in 2.5 USB ports.
While the SolPower umbrella is in the sun, the battery is constantly charging to allow the consumers devices uninterrupted charging.
